Every we week we enjoy getting to highlight one of our very talented doodlers! Today we are sharing more about Adam Walker-Parker aka @adamwalkerparker.
Please can you give us a brief little introduction about yourself?
I’m a children's book illustrator from the North of Scotland. I was born in 1985 in West Yorkshire. I moved to Scotland in 2006 where my wife and I settled and we now have 3 children.
I started out my creative career painting fine art and began to transition into illustration in 2015. I’ve worked on many self-published books and enjoyed working directly with authors. I‘m now represented by the fantastic Plum Pudding Illustration agency and working on my first published title.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by nature, woodlands and woodland creatures. I’m motivated to produce the best work I can when I see work by other fantastic illustrators.
What is your favourite thing to draw?
Animals, nature and people.
What art goals do you have for this year?
To see my first published title release and to add more variety to my compositions.
What techniques/supplies do you use?
I illustrate digitally in Clip Studio and occasionally try a bit of traditional media.
What advice would you give to another doodler/artist?
Draw often. Create the best portfolio you can of things you love to illustrate.
Where can people go to learn more about you or see more of your work?
