Ready for another fun interview?! Today we get to learn more about Yulia Yudina aka @yulyu_drawings. Thank you for for being our Artist spotlight of the week Yulia!

Hello! Please can you give us a brief little introduction about yourself?

My name is Yulia Yudina, I live in Moscow (Russia), I'm married and have two wonderful kids (9 and 6 years old). I'm an economist by education and an artist by vocation.

‌What inspires you?

Anything and everything: children, movies, books, photographs, weather, nature, etc… you know

‌What is your favourite thing to draw?

Animals! I love creating and animating characters, bringing emotions, funny traits and their own nature.

‌What art goals do you have for this year?

I'd want to become an art agency representative and dive deeper into the creative ambience of childrens illustration.

‌What techniques/supplies do you use?

I love to learn and experiment. I constantly try using new materials, techniques and formats. I like the soft watercolor sketching, pencil drawing and also Clip Studio Paint (Android app) where i draw in digital format.
But most of all I like mixing traditional and digital techniques.

‌What advice would you give to another doodler/artist?

Draw, draw and draw again. The more is the better. Try new things, search for your own style, be part of various challenges and art communities. It's very important to look over other illustrators, get open to the world, look around and notice details.
